I hesitate to write a review, because we want to keep the place a secret! We came for one night and ended up staying for six. A wide range of sites, from up on a bluff with full services, to right on the edge of the St. Lawerence without any services, are available. Sites are first-come, first-served, so it is worth getting up early to scout out the site that works best for you.

The owners were gracious and tolerated our lack of french language skills. The big attraction here is seeing whales up close and personal. You can rent a kayak or just sit on the rocks. Whales come close enough to shore where you can see and hear them without binoculars.

They don't take reservations and as such every morngin there is a lot of searching as new comers arrive and people seek riverside sites. They do this so every one gets a chance to camp by the fleuve. If it is high season and you arrive later than 1030 you may end up on higher ground (no river view) the first night, but plenty of places to go chill by the shore anyways. Besides that little bit of stress, the campground is in an amazing spot and is well run. There's a great cafe, the on site (mandatorily guided unless you have some certification I dont have) kayaking excursions are fantatic (shout out to Jerome and MIchaud) and watching the whales is simmply unreal. The fleuve has new meaning to me thanks to Paradis Marin.

The park has clean bath facilities where showers are only a "loonie". Laundry facilities and a small cafe are just across the parking lot from whale watching benches.
